Photogrammetry & VR Talk at AEC Meetup in Portland

Tonight, on behalf of BD Aerial, I gave a brief talk on the evolution of Photogrammetry over the years from traditional triangulation techniques to modern day computer vision and structure from motion (SfM). The talk was for an AEC (Architecture, Engineering & Construction) Portland Meetup group. The meeting was at the ZGF Architects building in downtown Portland. I along with my good friend Paul Tice from Topa3D presented and there were some demos available. There was a ton of interest in the crowd of about 20 engineers and architects about point cloud manipulation and clean up. This was a room full of highly intelligent people who enjoy pushing the limits of technology in their workplace so I definitely felt at home!
